A Just Because Date

Sometimes, it's nice to write a card for your boyfriend. Not because it was a birthday or a special occasion. Just because.

Last weekend, we went on a "just because" date, that could have turned into a disaster, but we ended up making the best of it.

We decided on a pizza place we always see, but have never tried: Brooklyn's Pizza. It was pretty decent, but this was my face when I found out we had to wait at least 25 minutes for our pizza to cook:

But it quickly got happy again when we started eating.

During dinner, a freak thunderstorm decided to pass through Garland,TX. I didn't take a picture of it, because I was too busy taking off my sandals to start running. Oh, yes I did. We ran/swam back to the car, and ran/swam to the movie theater to watch Inside Out and order a second dinner. Yep...we did.

You can't tell in the picture, but we were drenched from head to toe. Somehow, we did not freeze in the theater, and made it out in one piece!

All in all, a great night. Inside Out was a very good movie! Probably the best one that I've seen all year (The second being Still Alice, but Inside Out was much more of an upper). It is family friendly,  relatable, funny, and clever.
