Puppy Friends

Professor will turn 4 at the end of the month, and I have been reflecting on my time with him thus far. We have come a long way since the beginning. Last week, he played with Eunice's new puppy, Charlie. Charlie is a sheepadoodle, so that practically makes them cousins (Professor is a goldendoodle). It was 3 hours of non stop romping, rolling, and just pure puppy fun. I had almost forgotten what it used to be like with Professor..the constant seeking of attention, impossible walks because he would jump on every dog and every person we met (that plus the narrow side walks of Uptown = misery), and just the usual flurry of having a new puppy in the house.

Professor has gone through many stages throughout his life, and he is currently at his best stage. He is loyal, sweet, and gentle. He intuitively knows that I am his momma :) He can be stubborn and persistent, and the puppy-ness still comes out often, but I really enjoy him.

Now Professor has a new sister (Ruby, Yung's dog), so he will have a playmate to share his life with. I don't know how a non-dog person (me) ended up with 2 dogs, but that just goes to show you that there are bigger plans out there for me that I couldn't see before.
Cheers to puppies and the new year!

Forever Friends

Forever friends are those people that you know will always be in your life. We see each other through the good and the not so good. I am fortunate to have many of these friends scattered all over the world. When I am home in Louisiana, I get to see a big handful of them. Our group has grown and changed throughout the years with significant others and babies, but the friendships have remained the same.
Kari's birthday in Lafayette: July 2006

Looking forward to making memories for a lifetime.
Much love and hugs,

Happy 2016!

Happy New Year!
I am checking in from Louisiana and currently sitting here watching Aaron and Yung put together a 1000 piece puzzle. We have been enjoying a day with family and I am looking forward to squeezing all of my friends tomorrow.

I can't believe it is 2016. Wish us luck with the puzzle...
